Ohio’s school aged children in kindergarten through 12th grade will not return to the classroom for the remainder of the current academic year. That announcement by Gov. DeWine within the hour at his press briefing concerning the coronavirus. “For the remainder of this school year, our young people will continue to go to school remotely,” he said. “As we move forward, we’ve made no decision about the fall. We’re not in the position to make that decision yet.”Gov. DeWine all but eliminated all extra curricular activities for all school districts around Ohio for the remainder of the present academic year. This includes proms, graduations, off campus field trips, regular and post season spring sports, and so on. He did not offer alternate solutions, leaving that decision up to school districts on an individual basis. DeWine also mentioned that daycares and preschools will remain closed for an indefinite period of time.
